About Us

Our Organization

Our mission

To create FUN affordable ways to bring the public and FUNdraisers together to support a variety of causes! (Grass roots FUNdraising)

Our Motto

Little things make BIG things happen

Our Philosophy

If we can create a fun, affordable solution that will involve many individuals (grass roots) it will give all of us ownership in the solution and will make us all feel better about ourselves. A theory similar to it takes a village to raise a child. In a sense we will all be doing Good Deeds.

Claiming your spot is like buying a brick. It is a fun novelty that shows that you support a particular cause, except your brick shows visitors one physical spot you must visit while your Phil and Tropic spot shows your kindness to the world!

Good Deeds!

Phil and Tropic offers you the opportunity support favorite cause by doing Good Deeds. You can do a Good Deed by volunteering your time, making a donation or by claiming your spot. When you do a Good Deed as much as 100% of your contribution goes directly to your favorite cause. Each contribution amount will be clearly marked on its listing page.

Charitable Contributions

Many of our listings are associated with not for profit organizations making your Good Deeds a charitable contribution. In this case you will receive a document directly from the organization, after doing your Good Deed, reflecting your contribution. Again this will be clearly marked.

Phil and Tropic's story

Who are Phil and Tropic?

Phil and Tropic are a couple of lovable creatures called Kleebees Geebees that are mischievous explorers, fundraisers and Do-Gooders. When Geebees are young they are green, as they get older they turn yellow and in their latter years they turn brown. (much like a banana)

Phil and Tropic are adolescents so they are a bit mischievous and occasionally get themselves into a predicament but they always land on their feet. They may not always go about doing it the right way (like a lot of humans) but they always have good intentions and do the right thing.

Phil's' philosophy is much like the American Indians. We are all on this planet working together to have fun, cause no harm and to support each other whenever we can. Hopefully we make the world a better place by doing good deeds but we leave the earth no worse than when we arrived. We should use only what we need but every now and then we cross the line like most humans. This is OK as long as we balance it out somewhere along the path.

Phil and Tropic share their lessons and knowledge hoping each of us will choose to pass it on and pay it forward!

Our History

In 2008 we embarked on a mission to support a small project south of Salt Lake City, Utah. As our team discussed the idea of how we could help we found that we could be of assistance on a much grander scale so we set our sights on supporting and preserving our national parks. As we moved further along the journey we met up with our old pal from the 70's Phil, who had a young lovable pup named Tropic. They joined our group in early 2011 and showed us how we could be of help to many more causes. So we expanded our horizons and branched out into helping city and state parks and open spaces of all types, schools, our military families, helping support our youth becoming more active and the rest is history.
